Many dentists perform endodontic treatment on some types of teeth. However, a general dentist relies on a certified specialist in endodontics to treat teeth that are complex. Some procedures related to retreatment, microsurgery, and vital pulp therapy are almost exclusively provided by endodontic specialists. Our endodontists use advanced technology and techniques to ensure your tooth cannot only be saved but also remain pain-free, aesthetic, and functional.

A general dentist performing endodontic procedures is not a certified endodontic specialist.

In order to become a certified specialist in endodontics, a dentist must complete at least two years of post-graduate training at an accredited programme.

Royal College of Dentists of Canada

The Royal College of Dentists of Canada was established by an Act of the Federal Government in 1965 to recognise properly trained dental specialists. This is accomplished through a thorough review of the qualifications of potential candidates as well as written and oral examinations.
